Yorkshire waste firm see huge increase in throughput with new Neuenhauser Star Screen
A waste processing company in South Yorkshire have recently taken delivery of a new Neuenhauser star screen for processing their shredded skip waste.
The machine works in conjunction with a slow speed shredder which feeds directly onto the star screen. The star screen removes the -40mm organic fraction which can go as cover to landfill. The +40mm product can then be sold for RDF production.
The star screen is fitted with a patented star which has blunt fingers and therefore prevents wrapping around the stars which is a common problem with other manufacturers. According to the owner, “this will result in a huge financial saving for the company, this little star screen is worth its weight in gold”.
