Wheeldon Brothers Waste Ltd have recently invested in a Neuenhauser Star Screen from UK Dealer Riverside Machinery Ltd.
We wish to inform you that today, 17th May 2016, we have purchased various assets of N H Greaves and Co Ltd, Rotherham, South Yorkshire, UK.
You may be aware that some time ago the company encountered financial difficulties and the decision was taken earlier this month to place the company in administration.
If you have been a previous client of N H Greaves please do not hesitiate to contact us for any technical help or spare parts required for plant purchased. In addition we are happy to assist with any enquiries you may have for new and used crushing, screening and waste recycling equipment.
The Neuenhauser Star Screen will be used to screen both shredded green waste and food waste. When screening the shredded green waste the material will eventually be sold as chemical free compost for farming and gardening use.
Halmerend Minerals, a family owned company specialise in producing an aggregate for use in ecohouses and ecobuildings. They also specialise in the drying of sands for industrial use.
Conversations between Riverside Machinery and Halmerend Minerals started after they realised that their exisiting mobile screener was just too big and cumbersome for their yard.
A Portafill 5000 screener was subsquently hired to Halmered Minerals to screen the crushed material from the impact crusher down to a 17mm single sized aggregate.
John O’Neill comments: “from the moment the hire started it was clear to see that the machine would not be leaving. Due to the compact nature of the screener and the high energy efficiency of the screenbox the machine proved night and day between it and the older screener”
The Portafill 5000 is a very compact machine weighing only 14 Tonne. The heart of the machine is the 10ft x 4ft screenbox which is thee most agressive screenbox in the marketplace. Power is provided by a Deutz 2011 engine.
W T Clarke & Son based in Leicester have taken delivery of a Neuenhauser Star Screen from UK dealer Riverside Machinery Ltd.
W T Clarke & Son operate a compost and wood recycling facility at their farm in Leicester where they shred and screen wood for use in biomass and compost for use on their farm
Until recently they have had to make do with a Backers star screen, but with their tonnages increasing year on year discussions began with Riverside Machinery to replacing their existing screening plant.
John O’Neill of Riverside Machinery comments “for ultimate throughput and excellent separation of material, nothing will touch a Neuenhauser star screen. They really are the ultimate tool for screening wood, compost and skip waste at high tonnages”
This particular Neuenhauser star screen model is fitted with a 7 metre x 1.25 metre star deck and has 300mm diameter stars which allow for screening down to 0-20mm and out to 0-60mm depending on the speed of the stars.
In addition the machine is fitted with automatic lubrication, screw auger to agitate the material, the facility to fit a windshifter at a later date.
The power unit is a 6 cylinder Perkins diesel engine and all controls are hydraulic driven. One of the main features of the Neuenhauser star screen is the engine bay is placed over the front of the hopper. This has several benefits. Servicing of the machine is much simpler. The engine is placed far from the hydraulics and the machine is much more stable on the roads due to the majority of the weight being over the fifth wheel transport pin.
The machine was unveiled at the Neuenhauser world dealer conference in October 2015 after which it will be available to the UK market.
John O’Neill comments: “this will be big game changer for Neuenhauser and ourselves. The market has been crying out for a quality slow speed shredder that encompasses the features we see on this new product at an affordable price. The most important of which are direct drive to the shredder, a single shaft shredder, amazing access for servicing, hydraulic comb system and many many more”
The first unit will be arriving in the UK at the end of October so now is the time to make contact with ourselves to enquire about this superb product.
John O’Neill comments”this is going to be a big event for us and we will be bringing a lot of kit to the show. On the stand we will have the Portafill 3000 Tracked Rinser. This machine is a 3 product tracked screen and is fitted with a full washing system on the screenbox. In addition it is fitted with a sand box to allow for the transfer of sand to a sand plant. The Portafill 3000 is a very compact machine measuring only 10 meters long x 11 metres wide in working position.
In addition to this we will have a compact Neuenhauser star screen on the stand. This star screen measures only 3.5m long x 1.2m wide yet is perfectly sized for screening sticky stone, shredded waste and compost at high throughput.
Finally on the stand, we will have one of our overband magnets which we manufacture in N Ireland. These magnets are proving very popular for use on crushers, screeners, conveyors, etc
Then in the live demo area we will be exhibiting a CityEquip 7v4 Hook Lift Jaw Crusher. This machine will really turn heads. It weighs 15 Tonnes and has a jaw opening of 700mm x 500mm so is ideal for skip companies, civil engineering contrractors, demolition companies etc where the big tracked crushers are just too cumbersome and expensive to have on small jobs. This crusher will be feeding into a Portafill 5000 tracked 3 way screener. Again, another compact machine which is ideally suited for screening crushed material, skip waste, shredded wood, etc”
It promises to be an action packed show. We will be on Stand SCZ4. We look forward to seeing you there.
John O’Neill comments ‘the CityEquip Jaw Crusher is such a compact unit yet due to the jaw size is perfectly placed for crushing in small to medium sized operations. This machine is unique in its size and weight and coupled with diesel / electric power is the perfect machine for companies looking for the more compact and efficient machine yet not compromising on production’
You can view this machine in action at the Plantworx Exhibition, Bruntingthorpe, 2nd – 4th June on Stand SCZ4.
The plant consists of a tracked Portafill 3000 rinsing screen, a Portafill sand dewaterer and associated pumps and pipework.
The plant is being used to clean the filter media gravel used in the filter beds by the water companies across the UK.
The benefit of washing the gravel is that it saves having to buy in new gravel, when the exisiting gravel and can be washed onsite and thus reducing haulage and material costs.
The Portafill wash plant was chosen for its unique compact size which means that it can be easily around the country to the various sites that require their media to be recycled.
Measuring only 10 metres long x 11 metres the plant takes up a very small footprint.
In additon to washing filter media, the equipment is equally at homing washing cushed c&d waste, quarry gravel and sand.
The Portafill 3000 is fitted with double deck rinsing screen, tipping grid and two onboard conveyors which stockpile the washed stone. The sand and water are then sent via rubber piping to the Portafill DW80 where the sand is washed and stockpiled and the waster water and silt can be sent to settlement tanks or lagoons.
John O’Neill of Riverside Machinery comments “the Portafill washplant is a relatively new product to the UK market however with Bagnall Construction proving how easy the job is made by such high quality equipment i have no doubt that this will prove a very successful product for us.
