Riverside deliver first Portafill 3000 screen to O’Hara Bros, Wembley

Family firm O’Hara Bros of Wembley have taken delivery of their first Portafill 3000 tracked screen.

The machine is being put to work at their Atlas Depot where it will undertake a number of duties including the screening of asphalt and the screening of post-crushed material.

The Portafill 3000 is a relatively small machine measuring only 10 metres long x 11 metres in working position yet is not compromised on throughput due to the “positive energy” screenbox which offers tonnages normally associated with larger screens in the marketplace.

The Portafill 3000 is also unique in that it is the only machine in its class that can be fitted with a vibrating grizzly which is a vital requirement for O’Hara’s. In addition to this the machine can be used a two-way screener if only an oversize and undersize are required (see pictures).

We would like to thank the team at O’Haras for placing their trust in us and we have no doubt the machine will be a fantastic investment for them, and we would like forward to an excellent relationship.IMG_1332

A New Neuenhauser Star Screen For Town & Country Skips, Scotland

Edinburgh based firm, Town and Country Skips have recently invested in a new Neuenhauser star screen.

The star screen which is fitted with a waste star will remove the -25mm organics fraction leaving an oversize which can then be used for RDF production.

The waste stars fitted to the machine are designed to prevent wrapping of material around the star and shafts which is commonplace with other manufacturers.

Due to the aggressive nature of the stars, a very high throughput is achieved along with excellent separation.

In addition the footprint of the star screen is very small compared to a trommel for example, which would require a much larger area to achieve the same results.

John O’Neill, Riverside Machinery Ltd, comments: “we are delighted to be working with the team at Town and Country Skips and are confident the machine will have a great impact on their business”
